Ilona Jurkonytė is a film and moving image researcher and curator, currently a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions / UKRI Postdoctoral Fellow at the School of Modern Languages, University of St Andrews. Her work explores the intersections of film, media, and environmental justice.

Teaching


Bristol Cinema in Stockholm


I am trained in film and moving image studies pedagogy at the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema at Concordia University in Montreal, where I worked as a teaching assistant on multiple courses. I have also delivered guest lectures in the US, the UK, and Lithuania. I can teach in a variety of settings, but my preferred place is the cinema.
               I designed and taught the following courses:
2023/10-01 doctoral course for students in PhD by practice: Contemporary Cinema, Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, Vilnius, Lithuania
2021/01-05 undergraduate course Film Curating and Knowledge Production, Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema, Concordia University, Canada
